About LIZ PIAZZA

Liz Piazza was born and raised in Newtown Square.  Her parents raised Liz, her three sisters and two brothers to be honest, to respect others, and to help others in need.  They taught them the value of hard work, community service and the importance of family.

Liz is a graduate of Marple Newtown High School.  Following high school, she worked for numerous insurance companies and started her family.

As single mom balancing work and raising her three children in Upper Providence Township, Liz attended Widener University Law Center earning a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies.  During her time at Widener, Liz co-founded the first student paralegal association and served as president and treasurer.

Upon graduation from Widener, Liz began working for the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas in the Domestic Relations section in the Family Law Division as a caseworker.  During her 20-year career working for Delaware County, Liz held many supervisory positions and worked closely with clients, judges, attorneys, and case workers.

In 2015, Liz was recognized by the Delaware County Bar Association Family Law Division for her dedication and service to the Family Law Division in Delaware County.

Liz’s paralegal experience led her to a part-time position as an Adjunct Professor with the Delaware County Community College teaching in the Paralegal Program for seven years.

During Liz’s career she has had a positive impact on many individuals and their families and her decision to run for State Representative is another way for her to give back to our community.

As State Representative, Liz will focus on the issues that are most impacting our lives.  She will put taxpayers first by opposing out-of-control spending and new tax increases.

As someone who has seen first-hand the horrific impact that drugs have on families and our communities, Liz will focus on fighting the drug epidemic, specifically the opioid and fentanyl crisis plaguing Pennsylvania.  She also believes that more can be done to assist grandparents who are raising their grandchildren because of the drug crisis.

Liz is a proud parent of three children and eleven grandchildren and works full-time for her son’s local small business.  When she is not enjoying time with her family, Liz enjoys spending time with Baxter, her dachshund puppy.
